The Orthopedics sector is one of the two hottest Medical Device sectors exhibiting extraordinary and consistent growth over the past 8 years. The field has become crowded but there is always room for a newcomer with creative ideas. To this end our client has crafted a strategy to create a company specializing in small bone orthopedics. This sector of the orthopedics market has been fragmented. There are a few small companies in this space, but without national prominence. The larger Orthopedics companies have traditionally treated the products used in orthopedic extremities as a follow-on to their primary emphasis on hips and knees.
The management team has made several acquisitions so far. Their strategy is to acquire additional companies in this space and become the dominant player in the Extremities market.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A person well schooled and experienced in all aspects of Product Development. The candidate will be adept at leading cross-functional teams from conception of the product to its commercialization. The ability to work within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment is essential.
