Director, Clinical Operations - Northeast
The Director of Clinical Operations will develop and execute a strategy to ensure that all clinical study operations activities are conducted efficiently, meet enrollment goals and are in compliance with US requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, implement, and support patient recruitment and retention strategies for clinical studies.
• Develops strategies and field activities to increase productivity and optimize value of clinical projects.
• Oversees strategy for study site feasibility and selection to insure optimal selection of sites and investigators.
• Liaise regularly with clinical investigators, study coordinators, monitors, and other external staff training to ensure the timely and accurate execution of studies.
• Provides in-service training to surgeons and clinical study staff.
• Advises cross functional teams on recruitment methodologies and recruitment metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years experience in medical device and/or biologics development, clinical study and clinical sales experience.
• Being experienced and comfortable in the Operating Room.
• Be able to travel 50%+.
• Adept at developing and implementing metrics and clinical study patient recruitment strategies.
• Outgoing, extraverted personality. Sound presentation skills.
• Ability to recruit study sites and patients, and to solve the problems arising from recruitment expeditiously and professionally.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experienced in designing and conducting clinical studies and training programs.
• Comfortable interfacing with multiple disciplines.
• Familiar with FDA requirements.
• Prior experience in Orthopedics and/or nursing preferred.
